Get to Know Our Founders

Who made it happen?

Together, Kristi and Darci co-founded 100+ Women Who Care Anchorage in 2014, a giving circle of Anchorage women which has given significantly to non-profits in need within the Anchorage community. In November 2021, they were the recipients of Association of Fundraising Professionals - Alaska’s 2021 “Outstanding Volunteers in Philanthropy” award.

Kristi Acuff


Kristi Acuff was born in Kenai, graduated from high school in Fairbanks, received her Bachelor’s from UAA, her Master’s from Seton Hall, and is a lifelong Alaskan. She loves Alaska and seeks out ways to help individuals and groups be successful parts of our community.  She’s a human resources/communications executive, formerly Senior Vice President at Alyeska Pipeline. She was inducted into the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce’s ATHENA Society in 2015. She chaired the national Human Resources Certification Institute Board, served on Society for Human Resource Management Local and Regional Boards, Big Brothers Big Sisters Alaska Statewide Board, Hospice of Anchorage Board, American Heart Association Go Red for Women Chair and Executive Leadership Team Anchorage, ATHENA and the Anchorage United for Youth Advisory Board. Kristi lives in Anchorage and Soldotna with her awesome husband Richard.

Darci Ahlin-Stieren


Darci Ahlin-Stieren, born in Nebraska moved to Alaska with her family when she was in the 6th grade, graduated high school in the Mat-Su Valley and moved to Anchorage to attend college graduating from Wayland Baptist University. A human resource professional with over 20 years experience, Darci is owner of HR Solutions, LLC providing human resource consulting and leadership coaching.  Named a YWCA Woman of Achievement in 2017, Darci’s volunteer service has included the Board of Directors for Alaska Dance Theater, the Anchorage Society for Human Resource Management, and a committee member for Covenant House’s Fire and Ice Gala. Supporting her community is important to Darci, offering her personal and professional time to help schools and nonprofits in our Anchorage community. She married to her college sweetheart, Dave, and together have raised their son, Blake and daughter Hannah in the beautiful State they are grateful to call home!
